L3 Membership Agreement
What's Included
Founding membership runs January through December 2027 and covers you and your partner. You are welcome to participate alone. The founding-year fee is $5,000 to $15,000, chosen according to your circumstances. Membership benefits are the same at every fee level. Those who choose a higher amount help make L3 accessible to families who could not otherwise participate. Membership includes original case studies, at least four confidential ninety-minute small-group Forums facilitated by Jeffrey Cohn, peer conversations, optional Build groups, and the Vail retreat program. Forums focus on case discussions, often with the featured leader or innovator joining the conversation and answering questions. Some may be hosted in members' cities when enough members can gather locally. Virtual participation is always available. Individual guests and in-person locations are not guaranteed. Your travel and lodging are separate. Membership terms will change after the founding year. If the fee would prevent you from joining, please speak with the founder privately about what may be possible.
Confidentiality
This is an off-the-record gathering. What is shared in the room stays in the room. By attending, you agree not to record, publish, post, or share identifying information about other attendees, their families, or the specific content of personal conversations without explicit permission from the individuals involved.
Photography
We may take photographs or video during group moments for use in future communications. You will always be asked before any image of you is used publicly. If you prefer not to be photographed, tell us beforehand.
Coaches, Speakers, and Guest Professionals
Membership may include conversations with coaches, clinicians, and other invited professionals. These conversations are personal and confidential, but they are not clinical treatment, therapy, medical advice, financial advice, or legal advice. Members should continue to work with their own therapists, physicians, attorneys, and advisors on decisions that require those specialists. L3 is not responsible for the guidance, opinions, or acts of any coach, speaker, Brain Trust member, or invited professional.
Health and Participation
Participation in all L3 activities is entirely voluntary. We ask that you not attend an in-person gathering if you are ill. The organizers are not responsible for injuries sustained during optional or recreational activities at any in-person event.
Program Changes and Expectations
L3 is a year-round learning community, and its programming may evolve. We may make reasonable changes to dates, venues, formats, guests, and the number or content of case studies. Attendance and group size may vary. Membership does not guarantee particular guests, individual access, or specific personal or professional outcomes. We will communicate significant changes promptly. If we deliver fewer than four Forums, postpone or cancel the Vail retreat, or otherwise materially reduce the promised program, we will offer a reasonably comparable replacement or a proportionate refund for the undelivered portion. Minor changes or differences in personal preferences do not, by themselves, entitle members to a refund. This section does not limit refunds expressly promised elsewhere in this agreement or rights that cannot legally be waived.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each attendee acknowledges and agrees that Bench Strength Advisors LLC, its founders (including Jeffrey Cohn), members, managers, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, invited coaches, speakers, Brain Trust members, and affiliates (collectively, the "Released Parties") shall not be liable for personal injury, illness, emotional or psychological distress, death, property loss or damage, theft, delay, cancellation, or other losses or damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive, arising from or related to: (a) participation in L3 membership or any L3 programming, including virtual and in-person Forums, Build groups, peer conversations, and retreats; (b) travel to or from any venue by any means; (c) lodging, meals, or accommodations; (d) any recreational, optional, or independent activities undertaken before, during, or after any L3 event; (e) the acts, omissions, opinions, or advice of any coach, speaker, Brain Trust member, or other invited professional; or (f) the acts or omissions of any third party, including other attendees, venues, vendors, or service providers. Attendance is entirely voluntary. Each attendee assumes all risks of participation and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, or expenses arising from their participation. This release is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Nothing in this agreement releases or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in this agreement limits L3's express refund obligations.
Cancellation and Refunds
If L3 cancels the program for any reason, each founding member will receive a full refund of the membership fee paid for that year. L3 is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses members incur in connection with attending any in-person gathering. If L3 materially reduces the program without canceling it entirely, the replacement or refund provisions in "Program Changes and Expectations" apply. If a founding member withdraws after the program year begins, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Members who cannot attend a given Forum or gathering remain full members.
Your Agreement
By submitting this form, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, that the information you have provided is accurate, and that you meet the eligibility criteria for L3 — a CEO, senior executive, or investor who is parenting a child with autism or another serious neurodevelopmental difference.
